Last Post :( March Madness Starts Tomorrow! GET EXCITED :D

Hello everyone

So yesterday was selection sunday, where the committee takes the time and places all the teams in their seeds, their position on the March Madness bracket, and who each team will face in the first round. Below is a picture of the Men's D1 bracket for the 2012 March Madness Championship:

As you can see the first games start tomorrow at 6:40 pm! Everyone get your team memorabilia and get cheering!!! 
             Kentucky, placed in the South bracket, nabbed the No. 1 seed and will go up against the winner of the first round game against Mississippi Valley State and Western Kentucky. Mississippi leads that match up with a season record of 21-12 where Western Kentucky has a season record of 15-18, which puts Western Kentucky as the underdog in that match up. 
              Iowa State, who was seeded No. 8,  will play defending champion No. 9 seeded Connecticut in the second round. Also in the South bracket No. 5 Wichita States plays No. 12 VCU who made it all the way to the final four in last year tournament, while No. 4 Indiana plays No. 13 New Mexico State. 
              At the bottom of the South bracket No. 2 seeded Duke Blue Devils play No. 15 Lehigh, and No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish plays No. 10 Xavier. No. 3 Baylor plays No. 14 South Dakota State, and 16th seeded UNLV goes head to head with nO. 11 seeded Colorado, who won their way to Championship tournament by winning the Pac-12 tournament.
              In the West bracket top seeded Michigan State will begin their journey to their 7th Final Four since 1999 against No. 16 LIU. Memphis who was seeded No. 8 will hit the court against No. 9 St. Louis. No. 5 seeded New Mexico plays No. 12 Long Beach State, and No. 4 Louisville takes to the wood against No. 13 Davidson.
              At the bottom of the West bracket No. 2 seeded Missouri goes against No. 15 Norfolk State. Missouri was ranked 8th overall but due to some bad strength of schedule cost them in the seeding, even though they won the Big 12 tournament. No. 7 seeded Florida  goes face to face with No. 10 Virginia. Murray state who is seeded No. 6 plays No. 11 Colorado State, and No. 3 Marwuette will 
play the winner of the first round game between BYU and Iona.
             In the East region, No. 1 seeded No. 2 ranked Syracuse plays No. 16 UNC, and No. 8 seeded Kansas State plays No. 9 Southern Mississippi. the ivey leagues goes head to head as No. 5 Vanderbilt plays No. 12 Harvard. No. 4 Wisconsin plays No. 13 Montana. At the bottom of this bracket No. 2 Ohio State plays No. 15 Loyola, No. 7 Gonzaga plays No. 10 West Virginia, No. 3 Florida State plays No. 14 seeded St. Bonaventure and No. 6 Cincinnati plays No. 11 Texas. 
             In the last bracket, the Midwest bracket, No. 1 seeded North Carolina Tarheels will player the winer of the first round game between No. 16 seeds Lamar and Vermont. No. 9 seeded Alabama will play against No. 8 Creighton in the second round of the tournament. No.5 Temple meets the winner of the 12 seeds California and South Florida in the second round, and No. 4 Michigan Wolverines will face No. 13 Ohio. No. 2 Kansas meet No. 15 Detroit, there first time back to the tournament since 1999. No. 7 Saint Mary's faces No. 10 Purdue; No. 3 Georgetown plays No. 14 Belmont. Sixth seeded San Diego State plays no. 11 NC State. 
Anyone else surprised that Butler didn't make it? It must suck to make it to the finals the past two years but never win and then not even make it into March Madness the following year...I'm just saying.
