Recap on Yesterday's Big Name Games...

At 7:00 last night Duke Blue Devils took on Wake Forest, and exited victorious with a score of 91 to 73. This win brought Duke to their 45th consecutive victory at the Cameron Indoor Stadium, and one win shy of the Duke record of 46 consecutive wins at home court. Some of the key players for Duke include: Andre Dawkins who hit seven three-pointers out of thirteen, of which only one shot after halftime; Ryan Kelly who scored 20 points with a shooting percentage of 54% and 10 rebounds; Austin Rivers who scored 20 points in the game 14 of which were in the second half; and Seth Curry who finished with 14 points. Some key players for Wake Forest include: C.J. Harris who scored 20 points; Travis McKie who scored 16 points and 10 rebounds; Tony Chennault who added 13 points; and Nikita Mescheriakov who scored 12 points.


The North Carolina Tar Heels came out strong in the second half last night to win their game 82 to 68, against Virginia Tech who they were trailing by five at the end of the first half (39-34). North Carolina's key player for this game were: Harrison Barnes who scored 27 points; John Henson has 16 points, 16 rebounds and six blocks. Key players for Virginia Tech included: Dorenzo Hudson who scored 16 points for the Hokies; Jarell Eddie had 15 points on the board; and freshman Robert Brown had 12 points. 

Two time March Madness runner-up Butler Bulldogs out shoot the Illinios-Chicago Flames 57 to 49. Key players for the Butler Bulldogs were: Khyle Marshall who ended the game with 10 rebounds; and Ronald Nored racked up 10 points and seven assists. Both Marc Brown and Gary Talton were the top scoreers for ill.-Chicao Flames with 11 points each. Daniel Barnes was another key player for the Flames with 10 points. 

It was a close call last night for the Oregon Ducks who beat the USC Trojans 87 to 84. This is the third straight win for the Ducks, who are off to their best start since the 2006-07 season. Devoe Joseph and Olu Ashaolu were the two big scorers for the ducks, with 16 and 11 points. The key players for the Trojans this game was Maurice Jones who scored 22 points, and Dewayne Dedmon who scored 18 points and seven rebounds.
