Hello and welcome to my very first blog ever!! My name is Carly Didone and I am the blogger of this blog. I am from London, Ontario and am currently in my 3rd year at the University of Windsor majoring in Sports management and minoring in Business. Looking into the madness is a NCAA D1 men's basketball lead up blog to march madness that as you can tell from the above countdown starts on March 13, 2012. But first let me tell you a little bit about myself and my history with the sport.

I started playing basketball in grade 3 at my elementary school's 'small stars' program and just like any other grade 3 basketball player, I SUCKED! Ever since then I've played basketball every year of my schooling, up until university. Basketball wasn't very exciting until I got into high school though. One of the highlight of my high school basketball career was when I was in grade 12 and we won WOSSA City Championship and came to Windsor for OFFSAA.

Another highlight of my high school basketball career was one of the best most fun experiences I was in my grade 12 year on the senior girls basketball team at the annual tournament at Olympia Sports Camp. At this tournament the veterans of the senior team (me and a few other teammates) making the grade 11's feel welcomed onto the senior basketball team ;). In grade 6 I started playing competitive basketball for the London Ramblers for a year, in grade 7 I played for the London Jaguars, and from grade 8 on I played for London Flames. Now due to MANY knee injuries I am unable to continue to play basketball and just enjoy watching it, whether it be the NBA, the University's varsity teams, or random tournaments that are held at the University.

I've never really been a big watcher of the NCAA basketball games except for March Madness, and every year I always promise myself that I will start watching the NCAA so that when I watch March Madness I can cheer for the team I want to win and know who the teams to beat are.

This blog will break down NCAA men's basketball division one. It will keep you updated daily on who's playing who and if they are being web casted and/or what channel it is being broadcasted on television. It will provide a description of the previous games of the big teams (most popular), and highlights of the games. The top 20 team rankings, the top seven player stats for points per game and rebounds per game, and the top seven team stats for scoring offense and scoring defense will also be available to you and updated weekly. And last but not least every so often I will either post a question or poll, obviously NCAA basketball related, on my blog.

Thanks for visiting!!! :)
